Community Guidelines

Help us maintain a respectful, safe, and welcoming environment for all Nashville Chat members.

Nashville Chat is built on the principle of authentic human connection. To ensure our platform remains a positive space for everyone, we ask all members to follow these community guidelines. Violations may result in account suspension or removal.

Expected Behavior

  • Be respectful: Treat others with kindness and courtesy, even when disagreeing.
  • Be authentic: Use your real photos and represent yourself honestly.
  • Communicate clearly: Express your intentions transparently to avoid misunderstandings.
  • Respect boundaries: Understand and honor others' comfort levels and preferences.
  • Report concerns: Use our reporting tools if you witness inappropriate behavior.

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment and bullying: Targeting individuals with harmful, threatening, or intimidating behavior.
  • Hate speech: Any content that attacks others based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.
  • Fraud and deception: Fake profiles, catfishing, misrepresentation, or impersonation.
  • Inappropriate content: Inappropriate, sexually suggestive, or mature-oriented material.
  • Spam and solicitation: Unsolicited advertising, commercial messages, or requests for money.
  • Illegal activities: Any content promoting or facilitating illegal acts.
  • Privacy violations: Sharing others' private information without consent.
  • Violence and threats: Expressing intent to harm others or encouraging violence.

Profile Standards

All profile photos must feature the member themselves. No group photos as primary images, no inappropriate content, and no misleading filters that alter appearance significantly. Profiles should accurately represent who you are and what you're looking for.

Messaging Etiquette

Send thoughtful messages tailored to the recipient. Avoid generic pickup lines, repetitive messaging after no response, or sexually suggestive opening lines. Respect when someone is not interested and do not persist after being asked to stop.

Meeting Safely

When transitioning from online chat to in-person meetings, always prioritize safety. Meet in public places, arrange your own transportation, inform someone you trust about your plans, and check in with yourself about comfort levels throughout the interaction.

Reporting and Enforcement

Use the report feature on any profile or message that violates these guidelines. Our moderation team reviews all reports promptly. We take violations seriously and may issue warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on severity. Appeal processes are available for disputed actions.

Creating a Positive Community Together

By following these guidelines, you contribute to making Nashville Chat a welcoming space where genuine connections can flourish. Thank you for being part of our community.
